Are you hungry for closeness with God?
Join the Practice of Fasting to lift up your heart this Lent
The earliest Christians fasted for 40 hours as preparation for Easter.
Eventually, that turned into fasting for 40 days.
Which, over hundreds of years, became the season of Lent.
’Lent isn’t in the Bible’ - but fasting is.
Jesus fasted. Moses fasted.
The Practice of Fasting is as old as humanity - and as old as our relationship with God.
Fasting is voluntary abstinence from food for a spiritual purpose.
It’s a way of training your body and soul to master distraction, sharpen your dependence on God, and prepare yourself for deeper relationship with God.
Join the Trexo gym as we practice Fasting for Lent - to stretch and strengthen our souls and prepare our hearts for Holy Week and the joy of Easter.
