The Trexo Practices

Drawn from the early church and monastic tradition:

Daily Anchor (Individual Practice)

These three practices work together every single day to build relationship with with God:

  • Hearts up! (Sursum Corda) = Orientation to God. Turn your entire being toward God. Practiced: Morning, midday, evening.

  • Jesus Prayer = Communication with God. Be in constant conversation with God.
    Practiced: 10-100+ repetitions daily.

  • Bodily Prayer = Engagement with God.
Participates in worship with your whole self. Practiced: Sign of the cross at every transition.

Weekly Rhythm (Community Practice)

  • Sabbath = Rest, wonder, trust that God is in charge .
Practiced: One full day each week.

  • Table/Eucharist = Gather with the Body of Christ to receive Christ in bread and wine.
Practiced: Weekly worship, sacred meals, Agape feasts

Weekly rhythms anchor you in the life of the Church—the community of believers gathered around Word and Sacrament.

Seasonal Intensives (Deeper Training)

  • Fasting = (especially Lent). Train in surrender to and dependence on God.
Practiced: Especially during Lent (40 days before Easter).

  • Vigil = Practice wakefulness and readiness.

Seasonal intensives align your life with the liturgical calendar - the Church’s rhythm of preparation, celebration, and ordinary time.
